T. GAPEN and Margaret McGEE were married about 1822?
T. GAPEN and Margaret are buried in the Gapen Cemetery, four miles north
east of Rushville, Illinois, on Route 24. This cemetery is
located in the southwest quarter of section 3, Rushville Twp. It is on
the farm owned by Thomas GAPEN in 1872. Margaret (McGEE) GAPEN died
in a cholera epidemic so severe that their son, Thomas, was forced to bury
her by himself.
