Harry Lane, a former Schuylerite, well known as a resident of Beardstown more than forty years ago where he owned a saloon
and operated a gambling house, died on Sunday at his home in Los Angeles,
California. He was eighty-six years of age.
After leaving Beardstown, Mr. Lane located in Springfield where for many years he operated a finely
equipped gambling house and acquired a fortune. About twenty years ago he moved to Los Angeles,
Calif., with his family where he engaged in the real estate business.
