They were married 04 Dec 1905 in Rushville, Schuyler County, Illinois.
Johnson Whited made singing recordings, on round metal disks,
which were hit songs throughout the United States.
(before the days of the round 75rpm and round 45rpm records)
One of his recordings was:"On the Baggage Car Bbehind",
a story about an emigrating family returning home,
with their mother in a casket in the baggage car behind.
Johnson was the G.Grandfather of Alice Alene Herren
(her G.Grandmother was Johnson's first wife, Malissa Almina Milton, Mitchell.
